
We are thrilled to announce FOUR exciting scholarship opportunities for young artists and performers in our community! The following scholarships are available to students in grades 7-10 (2025-2026 school year).
The Tommy Hughes Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students in our performing arts (Theater, Music, Film) Department, Creative Writing & Visual Arts Departments. This scholarship is open to grades 7-9.
The Robert Gengnagel Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students in our performing arts (Theater, Music, Film) Department, Creative Writing & Visual Arts Departments. This scholarship is open to grades 6-9.
ALL scholarships cover participation in the LAYAYA program—giving students the chance to grow their skills, create new work, and be part of the magic at the LAYAYA Imaginarium! Students will learn new skills through our regular classes and will have additional opportunities to work along with professional artists on special community projects. Scholarship awardees will be passionate about learning and dedicated to improving skills through hands-on learning. Formal training and experience are not required.
Applications for scholarships can be requested via email. Send an email to us at Layayaorg@gmail.com or complete the inquiry form below and we will send you an application via email. Applications are reviewed and appointments are set up in the order they are received. Scholarship opportunities are awarded throughout the application period. The application period will run September 25-December 30 but may end early if all spaces are filled.
