Year-round weekly sessions for LAYAYA members
We offer year-round, weekly sessions for youth ages 6-18 in several departments. Click a department below to learn more about becoming a member. If you are interested in a 1 day session please visit our event page to register. We also offer some community sessions sponsored by our community partners! "TNG" Sessions (Ages 6-9)
Our "TNG" session is dedicated to "The Next Generation" of LAYAYA. They meet once a week (Thursday) for sessions that allow them to sample all of the things that LAYAYA has to offer. While there is a focus on visual arts, they also get sessions focused on theater/film, creative writing, culinary arts, music and STEM/STEAM sessions. This approach allows students to try a variety of things and helps them identify interests and talents as they move towards graduating up to the next level. Due to
Visual Arts 2/3 (Ages 10-18)
Our visual arts departments are divided into VA2 (beginner/intermediate ages 10-18) and VA3 (intermediate/advanced - ages 13-19). They meet once a week, year-round to work on group projects and individual projects. Complete the form HERE to learn more!
Creative Writing (Ages 12-19)
Our creative writing members meet once a week as they work on personal and group projects to be published in worldwide distribution. Novels and collections are made available at retail outlets such as Barnes & Noble, Amazon and more! To schedule a phone appointment for more info click HERE to complete the form. Performing Arts
Auditions are required for participation in our performing arts departments.
Theater (Ages 8-16)
This department runs Sept - May. Audition notices are posted in our member newsletter, on our social media channels and through our mailing list. You can schedule an audition by completing the info form HERE.
Film Journalism & Podcast (Ages 9 - 17)
We audition for our film department Aug- March. You can schedule an audition by completing the form HERE.
Music Department (Ages 11-17)
Music auditions are being held Aug - December 2024 for ages 12-18. We will audition for vocalists, drummers, a bass player and more! You can schedule an audition by completing the form HERE.
