LAYAYA Creative Community Center

With a decade behind us we have BIG plans in 2024! 

LAYAYA is about community and using creative approaches to help fill gaps in community need. One such gap that has been present for a very long time is a creative community center. LAYAYA C2 (Creative Community Center) will be the home studio for LAYAYA but we intend on it being so much more! We envision the space as a community hub where other positive and productive groups can meet to collaborate to make our community a better place. We intend on having classes, events and space for the young (and the young at heart!) to learn new things, obtain new skills, collaborate on great ideas, mentor, have fun and gather. 

This is a HUGE undertaking, but we are not strangers to making big things happen through hard work and inspiration.

Our Vision for the LAYAYA Creative Community Center (aka C3) includes spaces for the following:

The LAYAYA Imaginarium - a creative space for the young and the young at heart (ages 3-100)

 S.T.E.A.M. Lab that will feature all aspects of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math)

Technology Lab which will serve to provide a space to do research, write and print items, work on CAD (computer assisted design) , animation, 3D printing and give space for peer tutoring among other activities.

The Oasis - A garden feature where we will teach and learn about agriculture.

C3 Studio - A film and podcast studio set and editing area.

Community Meeting Space (to be named after it has been funded) - This space will allow other groups and individuals a place to meet and collaborate on positive projects for the community. 

The Workshop - A space to learn practical life and career skills such as woodworking, welding and workshop safety!
